From distant lands come large plates with bright decorations reminiscent of the colours of Southern Italy, which may have arrived here via the ancient Fiera della Maddalena in Senigallia, which was and still is a crossroads for goods of all kinds! The nuns of the Monastery of the Poor Clares in Serra de’Conti also used similar dishes, originating from Abruzzo, to arrange simple but delicious desserts on the large table to offer to visiting worshippers.
