A wide belly and sturdy handle with reinforced bands are the unmistakable features of this water and oil jar. Thanks to the properties of “galestro”, a particular type of clay widely found in the Apennines, hand-thrown by skilled artisans, the rounded, welcoming shape of this terracotta, which is resistant to both cold and heat, has for centuries allowed the best preservation of the good, precious properties of the earth’s gold. The jars are natural, healthy treasure chests that have carried water to quench the thirst of men working in the fields or preserved the generous flavours of the traditional cuisine typical of the villages of the Marche region.
