This was the private study of Prince Auguste Maximilien de Beauharnais, the true patron of Castello’s most important works. The ceiling of this bedroom features a multitude of nymphs, cherubs celebrating, and exquisite, delicate decorations with dancing female figures and floral friezes.
The image of Pallas Athena, goddess of wisdom, predominates, holding the instruments of art and knowledge, testifying to the original purpose of the room.
The frescoes in the living room, with their geometric patterns and refined decorations, frame the images of Eros and Psyche placed at the centre of the vaulted ceiling.
The windows offer a splendid view of the Italian garden.
