In the silence of flight: falconry lesson in the Castello’s Woods
In the silence of flight
Discovering the world of birds of prey means entering an ancient realm, where time slows down and your gaze stretches towards the sky.
Thanks to its collaboration with the Le Ali della Terra association, the Castle opens its doors to a unique experience: a close encounter with the art of falconry and its extraordinary protagonists.
Awaiting you are diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey trained to fly freely, accompanied by expert falconers who will guide you on a journey of discovery through this fascinating world.
You will be able to observe different flying techniques and appreciate the differences between the energetic flapping of diurnal birds of prey and the absolute silence of nocturnal ones. Then you can hold out your glove, feel the beating of wings and experience the wonder of direct contact for yourself.
Throughout the experience, the falconer’s story intertwines with the history of a thousand-year-old practice that spans peoples and continents: from the Asian steppes to the heart of Europe, long before castles were built.
